The shift
What the job actually looks like
Most shifts mix short local runs with a few long ones: a hospital trip, a grocery run, then an airport leg up to XNA or a late return from Pocola.
You will learn the pattern quickly, including which addresses on the Van Buren side are easier to find by house number than by landmark, and which Fayetteville streets close on a game weekend.
What we are looking for
- A valid driver license and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass the police background check a city taxi permit requires
- Knowledge of Fort Smith, Van Buren and the surrounding roads, or the will to learn them fast
- Someone who shows up for a 4 a.m. airport pickup when they said they would
